Support your child's academic enrichment
in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) through participation in Space Academy with the Challenger
Learning Center of Las Cruces:
- Students will be immersed in the roles of an astronaut, engineer, scientist, mathematician, artist, and researcher to solve real-world problems as they investigate the International Space Station (ISS).
- Experience the lost lessons of Christa McAuliffe, facilitated by astronauts on the ISS.
- Discover implications of living in micro-gravity environments.
- Cultivate the sklls needed for college, career, and citizenship readiness through completion of hands-on experiments.
Camp Activities Include:
- Challenger Learning Center Journey to Mars mission
- Asombro Institute for Science Education program
- Orbiter flight simulation
- Static electricity bubble art
- Engineering desigh challenges
